I'm Not the Weepy Type, But

GoodCat is missing, and I've been on the verge of tears all day.

We let the cats go out on the back patio, and they climb around in the no-man's land behind the houses on either side of us, but they've never left the block. I knew when we decided to let them out that we were running the risk of losing one of them, but it made them so happy, and somehow when I imagined one of them going missing, I figured it would be BadCat, which would not be the worst thing in the world from my perspective (he's TrophyHusband's cat, and he has ... issues). But GoodCat is such a sweetheart.

Add to this the fact that a couple we really, really like just got job offers in another state, and that I'm on the rag, and I'm kind of a mess.

GoodCat is the one at the top of this picture:

If you've seen him, let me know.

Oh, noooo... I'm so sorry. I really feel for you... I thought Psycho-Kitty was missing for a few hours once (left a downstairs window open), and the panic then was bad enough.

I will keep all of my digits crossed that he is just in the park, terrifying pigeons and being fed hot dog remnants by Japanese tourists.

Can menstrual synchrony occur over the web? Apparently! :-O

Hope GoodCat finds his way home soon.

All my cats are indoor cats (lots of anti-cat feeling in Auatralia) and always have been but one escaped through the garage door one time. We were devastated. He'd never been out. How would he cope? We drove around looking but couldn't find him. 48 hours later, he turned up at the back door, smug as anything. I hope you have a similar outcome with GoodCat.

Oh, I hope GoodCat comes back soon. When one of my cats got out a few years ago I nearly died, I was so upset. She wandered back in a few days ago, all like "What? Were you worried?"

Ditto on the menstrual coordination.

And I've watched my neighbor's house cats take to the wild outdoors like....well, cats who like adventures. Their range has widened and widened. They used to peek through the fence to my yard. THen slip through and rest in the driveway. Now I see them saunter to the back of my property and go visit neighbors way over on the other side.

So after a while, that patio of yours just isn't adventure enough.

Glad he came home! Nothing worse than a missing pet. Well, yes there is, but you know what i mean.
