I maintain that you can run forever as long as you run slowly enough. I would have run one again, but my next running partner was the guy I ended up marrying (a story for another time, perhaps), and he had no interest in training for another.DoctorMamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05187502628715846144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15583952.post-1142487194350023332006-03-16T00:33:00.000-05:002006-03-16T00:33:00.000-05:00Yay! People actually run 26 miles faster than that? Totally badass. (Also: I can completely relate to the failure to read the directions.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15583952.post-1142477948231846332006-03-15T21:59:00.000-05:002006-03-15T21:59:00.000-05:00I will think of you every time I drive thru for a ...I will think of you every time I drive thru for a Filet o' Fish, knowing that (however much I think I've earned it) I haven't earned it. A nine minute mile average, that kicks ass, as far as I'm concerned. And I'm also the kind of gal who kind of counts on the safety net in these kinds of cases, so I'm chilled to the bone to think they didn't allow for people who didn't read the directions -- oh no!Erica Kainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02917897064970938887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15583952.post-1142394882602385552006-03-14T22:54:00.000-05:002006-03-14T22:54:00.000-05:00I'm in awe! In fact, I've known lots of people who have done marathons and none of them have a story that doesn't include something gross to do with bowels, a painful during-race injury, or mind-altering fatigue.

This and she sets her own broken nose.
